How many Kilograms should you lose per month?
It’s natural for anyone trying to lose weight to want to lose it very quickly. But evidence shows that people who lose weight gradually and steadily (about 4 kgs per month) are more successful at keeping weight off.
Yes You can lose even more than 10kgs per month but the question is it healthy?????
Our Body’s don’t always release the Body fat that fast so by losing more than 4kgs per month it means the body loses a little fat with a lot of lean mass (e.g water, muscle etc).
Apart from numerous serious risks to your health, you would not end up looking “toned” which is important too.
Most people say that weight loss/gain is because of gene yes do touch on an important point…weight loss/gain does not always equate to FAT loss/gain.
Changes in body composition (Fat vs Muscle) can occur with no change in weight, this is why some people notice there clothes ‘fitting better’ with no change on the scales.
It is best not to lose weight too fast. You should aim to lose weight gradually. If you lose more than 4 kgs per month, you may lose muscle tissue rather than fat and this isn’t sustainable weight loss. So, it is recommended that you lose an average of 2 to 4kgs per month.
N/B:Yes people may argue that some of these excess happens in the presence of nutritionist/dietitians.
Question is are all gynecologist actually gynecologist? if they are nutritionist do they have the expertise in clinical dietetics and how well do they understand it?
